  2. One night as William Meade was behind at Michael Hayes cross, a cat came after him and followed him as far as his own gate. He would not come any farther. The next night he went out in the road the cat followed him again. Then after a while the cat clung around his leg, and stayed on to his leg till he came to his own door. When he opened the door he saw no more of the cat.
