  1. Training Hall
    Air: The Harp.
    Composed by Den Kilmartin
    Ballylanders, Co.Limerick.
    I
I dreamt I paced the Training Halls
    In Dublin City Fair
And all seemed changed with those walls
    So coldly changed and drear.
I sought in vain the noble few,
    whom I before had known
But gloomy strangers filled their place
    And I was quite alone.
    II
I wept in thought, the loved and true
That cheered me on of yore
Methought I asked if any knew
The few I prized the more.
But no one knew or cared to know,
    They coldly answered nay,
I hung my head in silent woe
    And wailed that hapless day.
