    The White Knight had a tenant called O'Brien and he was looking over the castle for the White Knight at Oldcastletown. It appears that he fell out with the White Knight and Diarmuid came to hear about it. On Christmas night Diarmid struck for the castle and scattered blood amongst the cattle in the cowhouse.
    When the cattle got the smell of the blood they began to jump around and bellow for all they were worth and being Christmas night all the servants were away. O'Brien heard the "hulla bulloo" out in the cowhouse and he jumped out of bed and stuck his head out through the bedroom window to see what was up. My brave Diarmuid had expected this and
