    Long ago in Ireland travelling people were highly respected. The travelling people long ago were very much more honest than what they are now and on that account they were never seen sleeping out of doors.

    Travelling people come to my house very often. These are the McCarthys and the Loobys. They come generally once a month looking for alms and selling articles. The articles they sell, are gallons and jugs. They get these at a big shop like Woolworths and sell them to the people as they go along at a profit.
