    Casting
    It was a regular custom in this district, when a crowd of boys would meet at a cross road, they would select a good heavy stone, from a neighbouring wall for the cast and the sport would continue for hours to see who would send the stone the farthest. There would be as much energy and seriousness put into those casts, as if the country Championship were at stake.
