    Shrove Tuesday
    Shrove Tuesday night is called pan cake night. It so called because on that night people make pan-cakes and in one of them a ring is placed. Then the cake is cut and whoever gets the ring is supposed to be married first
    Easter Sunday - On this morning people have a habit of eating more eggs than usual
    On Whit Sunday people say that is unlucky to go fishing
    On May Day people erect May poles in every field in the farm
    Saint John's day falls on on the twenty fourth of June. On that night people make bonfires
    St. Martin's Day. On this day everyone in this district kills a cock and sprinkles the blood at the stable door and on the yard
    Hallow E'en is a great feast night in this district. On this night people
