    starving Catholics. One morning he was late and some of the people asked him what kept him. He made no answer but went into the yard where the boiler was. He said "suck! suck!" to the people when he was calling them to the food.
    One young man who heard this could not stand such an insult. He ran to the parish priest's house, which was over 4 miles away, and told what had happened. The priest rode to Lorrha on horseback and when he met Stoney the landlord, he whipped him with the whip he had for beating his horse. He then got a sledge and broke the boiler to pieces.
