  1. In olden times there was a man named Mr Loftus. Who lived in the square, Borrisokane. He used to make wooden bowls, eggcups, mugs, and other things like that. His wife and children are alive yet. He died four or five years ago. For many years before his death he stopped the trade. Things he made are in the Museum in Dublin. The trade was not carried on. Photo of things he made were on the Herald some time ago. I saw some of the things he made.
