- There was a farmer one time in Bleakfield who had a number of dairy cows. These were giving a good supply of milk but when the cream was churned there was only a very small amount of butter.
They had suspicion that a neighbour who only had a few cows and plenty of butter was stealing the butter by witchcraft.
At last they told the priest and visited him to say mass in their house. The priest came and told the people that the quilty person would come to the door while mass was going on.(continues on next page)- Informant
