- In olden times Easter was a great feast. Everyone used to get up to see the sun dancing. As there used to be very strict fast in Lent the people used to eat a lot of eggs on Easter Sunday after fasting from them during the six weeks. The woman of the house used to put down a big oven of eggs for the breakfast and the young people used to vie with each other to see who would eat the greatest number of them.
