A woman washed stockings in the Cronovone Well, and it removed to the other side of the hill. There was a tree growing near it, and a man living nearby went to cut it down. As he began cutting he saw his house on fire. When he approached his house there was no fire. He proceeded with the tree and had to run to his house again to put out the fire, but the fire disappeared when he arrived. He went to cur the tree the third time, and finished his work. When he came back to his house it was burned to ashes.Collected by Patrick Kinane (Jr.) Moher Upperchurch from Jer Kinane (50) Moher, Upperchurch
