    1. An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
    2. An orange a day keeps the 'flu away.
    3. The younger the chicken the sweeter the picking.
    4. All over like the fair of Borris.
    5. Too many cooks spoil the broath.
    6. Never count your chickens before they are hatched.
    7. Where there is women there is talk
    8. The nearer the bone the sweeter the meat.
    9. Make hay while the sun shines.
    10. Spare the rod and spoil the child.
    11. Never put off till to-morrow what you can do to-day.
    12. A watched pot never boils.
    13. Every picture tells a story.
