    and a nose. A candle was placed inside the turnip. This skeleton was placed on a wall at night.
    Snares are made from snare-wire. Three strands of this wire, each about one and half feet long, are twisted into one with a small eye at one end to allow the snare to be looped. The snare is then placed in what is called a rabbit path and the other end is tied to a stake secured in the ground. When the rabbit comes along he runs into the loop and is captured.
    A crib made from sally-trees and twine, shaped somewhat like a picture frame. Two pieces of twine are placed angle ways across the frame. This is narrowed up to the top just like the roof of a house. In severe weather or snow it is placed in a field, raised on one side and food placed under it.
