When a horse is sold the buyer gets luck and when selling cattle the halter is kept. There is only one fair held in Borrisoleigh every year it is held on the 27th November. There is no special day for the sale of sheep and horses. There is a market held in Borrisoleigh every Wednesday for the sale of pigs.
