CRANAGH:-This place takes its name form the number of trees in this locality. It is also situated in the parish of Templetuohy. Cranagah comes from the adjective "Crannach".
BAWNAUGHRA:-means "white acres". It takes its name from the quantity of white grass or sedge which grows in this place.
