    If the bride gets a wedding present of a "Ruby" it signifies that she will discover poison, and correct evils resulting from mistaken friend ship. "Emerald" discovers false friends and insures true love. "Diamond" signifies purity, maintains peace and disperses storms. "Pearl" signifies purity and innocence. "Opal" an unlucky stone portending injury and mental trouble.
