One night, as a certain man was going home to the country from the town of Cashel, a big tall man met him and told him to make a short cut through the fields as 'We want the roads tonight', he said.

One night, as a certain man was going home to the country from the town of Cashel, a big tall man met him and told him to make a short-cut through the fields as "We want the roads tonight," he said.
A few minutes later a funeral came down the road, and circled in around him in the field. Two men approached him with rattling chains, and kept him there half the night.
After that, he was never caught out late.
