John: Very good Sir I'll do that.
Boss (at dinner time) Well John did you hang the gate?
John: Well begor Sir, I did not hang it but I gave it the next easiest death. I drowned it. Twas too far gone, and had to throw it into the big pond.
Another Palatine Boss had John in service for a period, and John suddenly left.
A neighbouring man met John a few days afterwards.
The Neighbour: Ah John you have left, have you?
John: Muishe I have, who could live on peatoes and rubag or mangles?
