- The following are the old cures in my locality.
Whooping Cough, donkey's milk is given to the sufferer.

To stop blood, put a two shilling piece to it tie it firmly with a band.
For warts, rub a snail to the wart and put the snail on a white thorn bush according as the snail is withering the wart will wither also.
