When they had their tea drank they started on their journey about one o'clock not knowing what time it was. About a mile beyond Newcastle on their journey they saw at a cross road a priest saying mass and lighted candles around him. A lot of people were kneeling around praying. The good peop[e that were there but even so the man was not afriad. The man had no match and he wanted to light his pipe with one of the candles but the woman would not leave him.
