“Outside Tipperary town a hare used be seen.”
Outside Tipperary town a hare used be seen.
The people living near the place used set their dogs after it but they could never catch it for it always ran into a moate a few miles away.
One day a man said that he would put a stop to it so he brought out his gun one day and he shot the hare dead. The hare instead of falling dead ran to the moate and died.
That night the man died, a week later his wife died, a week late his son died and a week after that his daughter died.
The hare was put there not to be killed, but for sport.
It was really a fairy.- Collector
