“Many years ago Brien Boru was coming home from the battle of Sologhead.”
Many years ago Brien Boru was coming home from the battle of Sologhead. When he was passing a well not far from the town of Tipperary, he washed his wounds in it and it dried up.
There was also another well up in the Slieve Muc mountains and a woman washed her feet in it and it also dried up.
