  1. A Good Walker.
My great grandfather 's name was Patrick Garry. He was according to my father a great walker. Once a year he used walk from Burren his native place to Limerick a distance of about thirty miles.
The land lord lived in Limerick and my great grandfather used walk to there and pay him the rent. The land lord used give him a glass of whiskey as a refreshment. Then he used start for home again and be back to Burren at dusk. His meal after coming home was a feed of potatoes and sour milk.
Told to me by by father
