  1. The people in this district avoid and observe certain things on particular days throughout the year.
    The people in this parish consider it very unlucky to get married on Monday. The people in the locality say that it brings bad luck to any person who cuts his hair on Monday.
    Tuesday is supposed to be the luckiest day in the week for marriage to take place.
    Sometimes it is remarked that Wednesday brings neither bad or good luck.
    When people are changing into a new house they usually go into it on Friday; as it is said that it would bring luck to them while they would be living in that house. It is very unlucky to cut your hair on a Friday.
    It is said that Saturday is a very unlucky day to begin any work for the first time.
    The old people in this parish say that it brings bad luck on any person who polishes his shoes on a Sunday.
    Nobody in this parish likes a woman to go into his house on New Year’s day.
