    air was filled with a terrific noise of shoes and crashes in the Main St.
    Two houses O 'Neills and Roches were attacked by Police and Black and Tans .The O Neills had left their homes and Mrs Roche ran out the back yard and over the gate with the help of a neighbour.
    Petrol was poured over the house now and was set fire to.Collins and Jone's were next attacked .Soon great flames were leaping high in the air from different parts of the town.
