    terror out their back yards and over the fields.The Police and Black and Tans were like demons roaring and shouting around in the streets. At three o'clock in the morning a fresh supply of military arrived in Miltown Malbay.
    They now attacked Marrinans in the Main Street and old Mrs Marrinan and her two daughters ran for their lives to the New Rd and very soon this house was in flames.
    Casey's the next house took fire also, so that about six houses altogether were burned that night besides any amount of damage.
