    they used put a stick of bogdeal across from wall to wall. The chimney used be made by putting two other sticks of bogdeal at an angle. Two more sticks of bogdeal were put at the back and were connected to the other two with rungs like the sketch I have made. The rungs were plaited with sugans then. Then the sugans were plastered with mud outside.
    The floor was made of red earth or "dóibh buidhe", well tempered.
    Two windows that were in the houses. The windows were a foot square. Instead of glass they used plait osier rods and put them up in the windows. For the bad weather the people used put a bag
