Long ago the people used to make their own wants.
They made candles out of rushes dipped in fat. The blacksmith used to make fire cranes. They would get a round piece of iron then they would get another long piece and join it on to the other. Then they would make two long pieces of iron with holes in them for hanging things on.
The ploughs that were made long ago were wooden ploughs. The frame of the plough was made out of wood and other parts were made by the blacksmith.
