- Holy Wells.
There is a holy well in Louth Hall in a field called the "black paddock". Long ago people used to visit the well.
People used to get cures for their eyes in the well. They would bathe their eyes in the water and a few days the eyes would be better.
There is another holy well at Corderry. It is at the end of a lane. There is a cure at that well.
People who wanted to be cured would hang a red string on a white thorn bush.
There is a stone there and people kneel down and say three Our Fathers and three Hail Marys.
