   I The sun is setting with a bright and sunny smile, The sky is now without a cloud. Like a soul without a guile. The heart of man ner beath within. With such a bright and sunny glow As fills my soul as thus I look. On the lake of Ballyhoe. See the Ardagh's rocky heights. As of old they stood, Like a giant of the fable days, Reclining in the flood. And the church stands high abover. Tis mirroed far below. In the blue and placid waters, Of the lake of Ballyhoe. Composed by Patrick O Reilly Ballyhoe about 70 years ago.
