Aclint - Cures In this district Edmondstown,Ardee there are old people who have the cure of different complaints. I know an old woman that plenty of people used to go with a sore called the whitlow. She would go out to the garden and pull herbs and boil them, and then poultice the finger with the juice of the herbs and in this way she would cure the people that went to her. My father had a sore on his foot called the Rose and he went to a man of the name Michael Roy and he told him to pull chicken weed in the garden and boil it in a pot and to poultice the sore with it and in this way it got better.
