- A castle was supposed to have stood in a field in Toomes. Not even a trace of it remains now but the name "The Caislean field" or Castle field is still applied to the particular field in question. The "Castle field" in Rostate. Property of Ml Kelly Lowertown
- Old graveyards supposed to be in Stonetown Lower (in Kelly's land) field - still called the graveyard field. Bones turned up there a few years ago. In Toomes - scene of a great battle 2000 years ago. (Nearby two urns were unearthed by Mr Morris in Aug. 1926. At Channonrock near the disused mill race. In Tully on B. Matthews' land.
