    say that it was once owned by an Irish chieftain who was evicted the time of the plantation, and the Mr Slownes fore-fathers got, and they handed it from Slowne to Slowne until the present day.
    3. Also in the townland of Barr Maig and in the parish of Dunleer.
    There is situated a tower owned Sir P Bellew and erected by him on his getting into parliament in the year 1879 for County Louth.
