- Most people of the locality have new end-over-end churns but Mrs. Patk. Clarke Tuiterath, Balrath has an old fashioned dash churn still. It looks very much like a wooden barrel. There is a hole on the lid of it in order to let the staff go through. The dash is worked up and down with the hand. Mrs. Clarke does the churning herself but sometimes a neighbour comes in and givers her a helping hand.
