  1. Festival Customs
Every Easter Sunday everyone went from house to house looking for their cludog. When they get their cludog they go outside to a field and light fires. Then they make tea and boil eggs and when they are done they play every sort of games. On the first of May children used to have good fun planting a May bush. Then they would go and gather all the wild flowers they could and tie them in bunches all over the tree and sometimes put coloured candles between the bunches. They would then dance and play games around the tree. A May Queen was selected among the girls, and a crown (of streamers) of flowers put on her head, and streamers of flowers put on to her dress. She was then made head of all the fun.
