- The Banshee I
Mrs Reilly often heard the cry of the banshee. It follows the families of Sherlock and Keating still living on the old road between Kilcarne and Navan.
She says she saw the banshee. One night when sitting up with a relative who was on the point of death the banshee appeared at the open window and wailed.
Small woman, beautiful face, long golden hair and a little plaid shawl round her shoulders.
Several people in the room saw and heard it
The patient died that night. II
A 3 legged hare appears at Kilcarne Bridge occasionally between 12 & 1 oclock at night
Mrs Reilly's deceased husband often saw it.
Rumour has it that other people have seen it also.- Informant
