    Snowfall 1933:-
    It began on the 20th of February and continued for about four days without ceasing. Then the frost set in and remainder on the ground for a fortnight. In places its depth was three feet and where the drifts were it was six feet deep. Fr. Conlon C.C., Longwood (5 miles) came over to Killyon on foot to say Mass in Killyon and he was able to cross ditches the snow was so deep
