Once there was a beggar and people called him a fool. One day a man gave him a half crown. The fool said he would bury his coin and see would it grow. He hid it in the town and came every day to look at it. The man that gave it to him was watching him burying it. When the fool was gone home the man put down a crown an took the half-crown and waited to see what the fool would say the next day. When he came he said "Ah this thing is growing." Then he covered it and went home. The man put in a sovereign and when the fool came the next day he brought it home as he said it was sick. Then people thought he was very wise.- Collector
