    Swallows are about the wisest of these birds. They build in a hay shed, or within in some other shed. Tom-tits sometimes build in a wall. Chaffinches and goldfinches build in a hedge. Wagtails build on the side of a ditch. Cuckoos build no nest at all, they lay their eggs in the nest of another bird. Corncrakes build in a meadow. Larks build on the side of a bank or ditch. Pigeons build high up in the trees like the crows. Wrens build in a hedge. Sparrows build in thatched houses.
    The robin builds her nest with moss and dry grass and is lined on the inside with moss and feathers. The colour of her eggs are white with brown spots. The linnets nest is also
