The money is divided evenly among the boys who buy sweets and other things.
On St. Brigid's Eve people make an extra roll of butter and divide it among the poor. They also make Brigids Crosses.
On St. Patricks Day shamrock green ribbons, and harps are worn in memory of St. Patrick.
On Shrove Tuesday pancakes are eaten. On Holy Thursday white bread is eaten instead of brown. On good Friday "hot cross buns" are eaten. On Easter Sunday eggs are eaten, which(continues on next page)- Collector
