  1. The people of the last century had three meals each day - breakfast, dinner and supper. They had their meals at eight o'clock in the morning, at midday and at six.
    Cows and goats milk were drunk. Oaten and rye-bread were eaten by the people. it was made in a basin and baked on a griddle.
    Meat was eaten very seldom. It was eaten both salt and fresh. Fish, and vegetables such as cabbage, turnips, and parsnips were also eaten. Supper was usually taken in the early nightime.
