- (continued from previous page)He was going up stairs again when he heard the noise again and came back but still he could see nothing. This continued for three succeeding nights. On the third night he came down and saw the figure of a woman. He said "Who is that?" but got no answer. He asked again, and the figure replied "I am the woman to whom this house belongs, and what takes you here." The figure them disappeared. Next night there was no noise and the figure was neither heard nor seen since.
