- Once upon a time there were three men named Hudden and Dudden and Donal O Leary. Each had a farm of his own. Hudden and Dudden were not great with Donal O Leary. They made up their minds to kill him but he slept in the shed that night. The two men could not find him so they killed his mother instead. When Donal O Leary went in next morning he found his mother dead. He was bringing his mother to the graveyard and he left her down at a well and propped her up with a stick. Then he went into a house for a drink. There was no water in the house so they sent the little girl to the well. Donal O Leary told her to shake his mother well as she had the habit of falling asleep. The little girl began to shake her and she fell into the well. Donal O Leary said he was going to tell the police. But the girls father said that he would give him £100 and they would bury her themselves. So he went home and told the two men that he got £100 for his mother for making snuff powder. So the two men killed their mothers and brought them to the town and began to shout "Who will buy old women for making snuff powder" The police caught them but they they got away. So they went home and killed all Donal O Leary's cattle. Donal O Leary(continues on next page)
