In the farm of Mrs Murry at Boolies Bolrath there is a field called "The Fort In this field there is a fort or mound about 65 yards round the edge and rising in the centre a height of about 25 feet. The fort is very rocky and it covered with furze and white hawthorn some people maintain that if you take any of the fort that the faries would come that night.
    When you would be in bed and take you away, other disregard the tradition place There are no local stores of anything that ever happened to anyone on account of having anything to do with the fort.
    There was an old fort in Loyd it was in John Englishes field. The field is used by John English but the fort is not there.
    It was said that when John English bought the field from the owned. He saw this big hill and they were twelve stone and written on the stone not to destroy this fort
    John English hired men to dig away the fort they found a number of passage in it
