  2. On St. John's Day the people gather sticks and turf and when night comes they pile them up in a big heap and lite a huge fire and then they dance and sing all night round the fire.

  3. On New Year's Eve a bell is rung at twelve o'clock which means ringing the old year out and the new year in. It is a custom also for people not to throw out water on that night because you
