cat. they would pare the ends of the sticks. Then they would look for a flat stone. This stone was called a "granny". Then they would place the cat on top of it and hit it with the dog. There would be another child standing a little distance back and if she caught the stick she would have to hit the next time. When the dog would hit the cat it would rise off the "granny". When they would get a sprain long ago they would rub goose grease on it and that would cure it.
Beelings
When Beelings would break out on their fingers or anywhere they would dip it in the water the potatoes were boiling in.
