    crossing the yard when the cows were being brought in. Mr Flemming said "Where are you going," "I am slipping up to Dublin for a bit of tobacco," said the man. Mr Flemming asked him would he bring this note to such a man in such a street. The man agreed, and Mr Flemming went in and wrote, "If this man arrives with you please write and tell me what time. Flemming."
    Just when the cows were being brought in in the evening the man arrived with the answer. It took him twelve hours to walk to Dublin and back.
    Tom Mc Whirter of Losset, Moynalty, Co. Meath, was able to jump in length twenty one feet; he was seen doing so by Mr. W. Mc Whirter from whom I got this.
