in straw in a loft to prevent the chickens from dying or taking the pip.
Mrs Skelly Cormeen, Moynalty can cure young chickens from the pip. She gets a feather out and a hens tail and wets it. She takes off some of the fluff of it. She then catches the chicken in her hand and keeps her finger on its tongue and puts down the feather which takes up the red worms. If the chicken is bad with the pip she gives it a spoon of cold water. Lime put in chickens boxes prevents the pip.
