Galligan died over 80 years ago and in his place came another teacher named Charlie Smyth. There were so many Smyths living convenient that he was called "Redmond".
William MacWhorter Cormeen who is now nearly 80 years attended this school. About 100 pupils were taught there. He used to call the Rolls on Friday and the fee was one penny per week for every pupil. Every three months he called to the children's parents and spent his evening there and got his money. If the children were learning anything special he kept them an hour or two after the other children and charged them three half pennies.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
