    on moon light nights, hard at work mending the tiny, tiny shoes belonging to the rest of the fairy slugh. It has never been known for certain if anyone has ever been fortunate enough to catch him and so secure the crocks of gold he is said to know the hiding place of. It is said that if any mortal were to steal up behind him and seize him and demand his gold, keeping his eyes on him all the time he would be bound to deliver up the gold, but that if by any chance he were to take his eyes off him he would dissapear for ever. The Liepreachaun and all his comrades are friendly with humans if they do not anger with them in any way but if they incur their anger, they will not be slow to take revenge. For instance should a person start digging for gold in any place where it is said to be
